If im not mistaken the AGM was last week, its the Annual Parish Meeting this thursday when you have the opportunity to meet your Parish Councillors and i think its quite informal unlike all the other meetings.
I would however wholeheartedly recommend people go to their Parish Council meetings ( full council sits every 2nd weds in the month)as they have been great with our particular parking issues in Area 59. They are a great lobbying power on our behalf and lets face its they are all volunteers that are prepared to do this for the community in their own time.

I have suggested having a big meeting solely about the parking in Kings Hill and inviting the local Police along so they can speak to us en masse how they view our issues. They have openly said that they will only deal with actual obstructions where vehicle traffic is impeded rather than just parking on the footpath etc. This is to a large degree understandable as they do have crimes to deal with which will always come first. However there are countless examples all over Kings Hill of "obstructions" that don't get dealt with which they should be dealing with such as Fire Engines not being able to get to certain house if needs be. We do have to accept to a very large degree the situation we have moved into in Kings Hill with the road designs etc as they meet Government standards but we don't have to put up with dangerous and obstructive parking that make the issue worse.

You need to go via Sevenoaks so get on at West Malling, change at Otford for Sevenoaks and go from there however it would be much easier to go West Malling to Victoria then underground to London Bridge.

Daphne, depending on where you live there are already some Residents Associations in action. I am sure the Parish Council would be able to let you know of one in your area if you contact the clerk, they are very helpful.
Perhaps the way forward is for us all to refuse to pay our yearly fee to KHM or is that too controversial ?

Dont know why residents of kings hill will not. Be able to use the new parking at doctors surgery for their additional cars during the evenings and weekends to help solve parking problem when there is going to be a perfectly empty car park in. Kings hill which can resolve the problem. the size of the spaces marked out in the doctors surgery are a joke unless you have smart car as there appears t be no room for reversing out when the car prk is full.

When I moved here 7 years ago I did not expet my children to still be living at home and to have cars in there late twenties but they have no option these days.

We have a garage which is just about big enough for a mini and one parking space where are visitors supposed to park when we have no unrestricted parking in why don't liberty get on a get extra spaces at the car park done so that we have one where to leave our cars over night and for visitors.

I would be happy to join a residents association as we need to get onto liberty as a group small pockets just don't work and give us any impact.

Good Luck Lee. I believe Discovery Drive is an adopted road and therefore the responsibility of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council.Another route is through the Parish Council planning meeting, the date of the next one is on their website. If you are going to go and want to speak about it email the Clerk of the PC and she will put it on the agenda for. They have been great helping my neighbours and i and have supported us throughout whilst trying to resolve a particular parking problem in Area 59.

Hi there,

I am trying to find out how to complain about the hideous so called "improvement" to the speed bump on Discovery Drive, by the Discovery School. Where can I send my complaint to?

Bromley South is a good place to shop and easily accessed by train from West Malling. I think you can get to Sevenoaks on the train via Otford and Chatham i should imagine via Maidstone.
Not sure about the buses though.
