The checker was showing end of March till last Thursday, when it said available. Ordered online and engineer due at the end of the month. It looks like they are taking a slowly slowly approach as other people in the same area went live a week or two earlier. Ringing up gave the same result till the website went live.

I am near the green on phase 1, will let you all know if / how the install goes, its suggesting 40 / 10 speeds :-)

Happy waiting

WE've used Hylton before and agree they are brilliant. Popped straight round, fixed the problem - fabulous service. Can thoroughly recommend them.

With the snow now falling it is an appropriate time to remind people to think of pedestrians and not dump snow cleared from their drive onto the pavement. People walking along the pavement, threading their way between park vehicles and snow covered dog poo shouldn't be expected to grapple with 18" mounds of snow running the full width of the pavement. Pavements are hazardous enough without that!

For full in-house high speed signal (3G+), Vodafone can route your mobile over your broadband with a device you buy for about £50 I think, called a SureSignal. It is rated as 1Mbit min, but it worked fine for me as slow as 300Kbit. If you want 14.4Mbit HSDPA connection will of course be limited to your max broadband speed (BT fibre upgrade to 20/40Mbit rolling out now til March I believe. Just google search "vodafone suresignal" but be prepared to spend some time getting it working with your router (set up with DHCP - won't work with static - and put it on your DMZ once you know DHCP address, which if you lease the DHCP addresses for a week / 10000 hours, should be fine - or do a DHCP reserve if you have that option, maybe). Hope this helps. :o). Useful for business users certainly, and can route 30 phones through the suresignal.

@ Graeme I must 1 of the lucky ones to get infinity, It seems that BT does not want to sell infinity on KH @ moment.

It still confuses me that I can get infinity but my neighbour has been told March/April
once again BT screw up and dont have any great customer services
My postcode is ME19 4BF check it out to see what it says about my postcode
put any house number in and it will give u the same result

I still recommend that people contact openreach and complain that BT says that infinity is not available in KH

@smash: I think all the alternative suppliers like Plusnet still have to fall back on the same telephone number checker that BT offer on their site. For me they all say March 2012.
